Igor Tregub Priorities
Elected in 2024, Councilmember Igor Tregub brings the experience we need, the dedication we deserve, and the progressive values we share.

Igor is always working hard for you, and he is ready to continue his service on the City Council, creating positive change and fostering a more inclusive and equitable Berkeley for all.
Berkeley Values in Action
When I first ran for City Council, I identified five priorities that would be the focus of my time in public service:
-
Fighting for a Berkeley we can all call home.
-
Prioritizing a safe and vibrant downtown.
-
Helping the unhoused rebuild their lives.
-
Championing bold climate leadership.
-
Embracing walkability, bikeability, and transit accessibility throughout Berkeley.

These remain my priorities as I seek re-election to represent you on the City Council.

Delivering for District 4
More than three dozen initiatives I’ve authored or co-authored are now codified in city law or are in the process of being implemented.
We’ve reopened Civic Center Park as a public commons accessible to all, secured new housing at all income levels, including deeply affordable housing downtown, advanced significant pedestrian, bicyclist, and traffic safety improvements throughout District 4, and taken the lead toward making Downtown a safe and accessible destination where small businesses, the arts, and community-serving institutions can thrive.
The Work Ahead
As I seek a full term on the City Council, I’m working in partnership with my elected colleagues at every level, our non-profits, and our small business and arts partners to help get our unhoused neighbors off the streets and into permanent housing, embrace housing solutions that meet the affordability needs of all our residents, expand our vision of Downtown Berkeley as a major destination for entertainment, culture, and commerce, and do what it takes to continue creating a downward trend in traffic-related injuries and fatalities.

We Know What We're Up Against
We do this work knowing that we live in uncertain and dangerous times. Deep federal and state spending cuts have forced us to be more creative in approaching our city’s challenges, and the current federal administration remains an existential threat to many in our community. Nevertheless, we persist, and have made significant achievements together on all of these fronts.
I love our community and will never stop listening to you, partnering with you, and implementing our shared values into practice for a Berkeley we can all call home.
